Beloved TV Shows Are Being Canceled After Only One Season

Zoë Kravitz, David H. Holmes, and Da'Vine Joy Randolph in "High Fidelity"

Many TV shows had to halt production in the last few months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and for some, the networks behind them decided to pull the plug altogether. This happened to several beloved shows that premiered this year, and they ended up being canceled after a single season.

High Fidelity

The gender-bent adaptation of Nick Hornby’s hit novel about a record shop owner struggling with a lifetime of failed relationships starring Zoë Kravitz was beloved by the critics, but that didn’t save it from cancelation.

The Society

The Society centered on a group of teens forging their own community in an attempt to survive after the rest of the citizens of their wealthy town mysteriously vanished. Fans of this show will never get the answers they’re looking for since Netflix canceled it after one season.

I Am Not Okay with This

I Am Not Okay with This is another hit teen show that ended up on Netflix’s chopping block. It centered on a misfit teen who’s trying to come to terms with the discovery she has telekinetic powers.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels

Showtime tried to replicate the success of Penny Dreadful with this spin-off set in Los Angeles led by the Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer, but it just wasn’t meant to be.
