When it comes to staying in shape, we’re always looking for ways to make it more enjoyable and bungee fitness classes do just that. You’ll bounce, glide, and fly your way around a studio while working out to the hottest songs and getting an intense workout. So what exactly is bungee fitness?

It’s a low-impact training method that uses gravity as part of the cardio workout. The group fitness classes are usually done with a harness that’s attached to a bungee cord hanging from the ceiling of a studio. The cord gives resistance and assistance, which constantly challenges your balance skills while you glide in the air. The class includes bodyweight exercises like lunges, squats and burpees, as well as more complex moves like jumps and twists.

Bungee fitness combines cardio and strength training to elevate your heart rate, help you build muscles, and burn calories. Because you’re suspended from the ceiling, there’s a lot less impact on your joints, which is great for those recovering from injuries or with joint issues.
