Everyone seems to be celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop these days, including the masterminds behind Call of Duty. The latest season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone will feature appearances from such rap legends as Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage.

Snoop Dogg’s operator will be the first to become available to Call of Duty fans, and he’s no stranger to this gaming franchise. In addition to narrating the matches for players in Call of Duty: Ghosts, he was available as an operator in the original Warzone, Call of Duty: Mobile and Vanguard.

Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage will also be available as playable operators, but their own in-game store bundles are expected to drop at a later date. To celebrate 50 years of hip-hop, Call of Duty also introduced free War Tracks “spanning three decades of a culture that transcends music and gaming”, which will be available between August 7 and August 16.

Playing Call of Duty as Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage will be quite a thrilling experience, but celebrity cameos are not a novelty in this gaming franchise. We’ve seen and heard many stars appear in the games over the years, including Kit Harington, Michael Keaton, Ice Cube, and Gary Oldman.
