Check Out First Look at Live-action Remake of “The Lion King”

The live-action remake of The Lion King trailer is here.

The live-action remake has been a big trend with Disney this year. In the last month we have been gifted with trailers for Dumbo and Mowgli and now The Lion King too. The trailer teases 90 seconds of footage from the movie and shows us the most iconic scene from the Disney original.

The highly anticipated remake will be directed by Jon Favreau, who bought us The Jungle Book live-action remake.

You can watch the teaser trailer here:

“Everything the light touches is our kingdom. But a king’s time as ruler rises and falls like the sun,” Mufassa declares. “One day, the sun will set on my time here and will rise with you as the new king.

James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as Mufasa from the original animated film. Donald Glover will star as Simba alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar and Alfre Woodard as Sarabi. The voice of Nala will be taken on by none other than Beyoncé.

The Lion King will be coming to cinemas July 19, 2019.
