Elton John is no stranger to collaborative albums, but he truly took things to a whole new level with his latest LP The Lockdown Sessions. The iconic singer has cemented his relevance with this album, and here’s how this record put him right back in the spotlight.

“Cold Heart”

“Cold Heart” featuring Dua Lipa was released back in August as the lead single from The Lockdown Sessions. It did a great job putting this album on the map, and it went on to become John’s first single to top the charts in the UK since 2005.

UK Charts

In addition to finding huge success on the singles chart thanks to “Cold Heart”, The Lockdown Sessions also had a pretty impressive showing on the UK Albums chart. It hit no. 1 following its release on October 22nd, becoming John’s first album in almost a decade to do so.

U.S. Charts

The Lockdown Sessions didn’t find the same kind of success in the U.S., but it still managed to make it to no. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming John’s 21st top 10 album in this country. As for the singles, “Cold Heart” had the most impressive showing and peaked at no. 21.
