HBO Max had a pretty rocky start when it launched last year, but people are finally ready to give it a chance. This streaming service is experiencing a huge boom thanks to the amazing shows it recently introduced to the world and new ones that it has on the way.

Mare of Easttown

This crime drama series starring Kate Winslet centers on a small-town detective trying to solve the disappearance of a young woman in her hometown. It’s technically an HBO show, but it brought countless new subscribers to HBO Max—and many even companied on Twitter when the streaming service crashed just in time for the season finale.

Friends: The Reunion

This reunion special was supposed to premiere on HBO Max when it launched, but it took a year longer to bring it to life. It will give you nostalgia overload if you’re a huge fan of the original series since it shows its cast and creators, and a slate of A-list guest stars coming back to discuss its legacy.

Gossip Girl

Reboots and revivals are pretty much the backbones of HBO Max’s future programming. One of the most anticipated shows comes in the form of the Gossip Girl reboot, which focuses on a set of brand-new Gen-Z characters, with Kristen Bell coming back to spill the tea as the voice of Gossip Girl.
