Anna Kendrick: you know her, you love her, and you’ll probably watch everything she’s ever in, like the Pitch Perfect series, A Simple Favor, and Into the Woods.
Well, now, you’re in luck because it’s just been announced that Kendrick is working on a new movie. It’s a psychological thriller called Alice, Darling, and people are pretty excited about it. So what do we know so far about this film?
It’ll be directed by first-timer Mary Nighy and tell the story of Alice, played by Kendrick, a woman who is keeping secrets from the people in her life, including her boyfriend (played by Charlie Carrick) and her two best friends (played by Wunmi Mosaku and Kaniehtiio Horn). Then, Alice and her two best friends go on a trip out of town and stuff hits the fan. Secrets get revealed, a local girl goes missing, and Alice’s boyfriend shows up unannounced.
The film was written by Alanna Francis and is being produced by Babe Nation Films, Elevation Pictures, and Castelletto Films. Director Nighy said, “Alice, Darling is a subtle, nuanced story about coercion and control. As a director, I couldn’t wish for a better cast of talented actors and creatives to bring this important story to life. The chemistry between Anna Kendrick, Wunmi Mosaku, and Kaniehtiio Horn as the three friends is a joy to see.”
