Netflix has given us one of its biggest hits with Bridgerton, and its third season will capture even more intrigue boiling in the heart of Regency-era London. The streamer recently dropped a brand-new teaser for the show’s upcoming Season 3, and here’s everything we know about it so far.

Plot Details

The first two seasons of Bridgerton followed the events of the first two books in Julia Quinn’s series, but this period drama will switch the gears in Season 3. The show’s next chapter will be based on the fourth novel Romancing Mister Bridgerton, and it will chronicle Penelope Featherington’s relationship with her long-time crush Colin Bridgerton.

Cast

Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton will lead the third season as Penelope and Colin, and they’ll be joined by the majority of the show’s ensemble cast. Several key players will be absent when Bridgerton returns for Season 3, starting with the Season 1 leading lady Phoebe Dynevor, who decided to leave the series after two seasons.

Release Date

Netflix’s recent trailer announced the release date of the eight-episode Season 3, which will be split into two parts. The first four episodes will premiere on Netflix on May 16, 2024, while the remaining four will become available on June 13, 2024.
