Season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy is on the way, and members of the main cast aren’t the only familiar faces we’ll see once it returns. Several fan-favorite characters are set to make a comeback, and we’re really excited to see these three return to this beloved medical drama.

Kate Walsh

Kate Walsh made such a huge splash with the role of Derek Shepherd’s estranged wife Addison Montgomery that she even got her own spin-off Private Practice. It’s been almost a decade since the last time she played this role, but she’s finally gearing up for a comeback in Season 18.

Abigail Spencer

Spencer made her first appearance on Grey’s Anatomy in 2017 as Megan Hunt, Dr. Owen Hunt’s younger sister who served in the U.S. Army as a trauma surgeon by his side. She only made several recurring appearances throughout the series, and it’s unclear how big her role will be this time around.

Kate Burton

Burton is one of the guest stars who’ve been a part of Grey’s Anatomy since the very start. Once the series returns for Season 18, she’ll be playing the role of Meredith’s late mom Ellis Grey, but it’s still unclear how the writers intend to include her in the plot.
