Friends fans finally got what they were hoping for: a reunion special. After much talk and countless delays due to the pandemic, Friends: The Reunion was released on HBO Max. The reunion was filmed on the classic sitcom’s original stage and it marked only the second time that all six cast members—Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer—have been in the same room since the show wrapped up 17 years ago. Hosted by James Corden, the 100-minute special made us laugh and cry with behind-the-scenes confessions and surprise segments. There were tons of memorable moments, but these were our three favorites.
Ross Tells Marcel to “F—k Off”
Apparently, David Schwimmer’s Ross Geller really hated working with Marcel the monkey. The actor explained the monkey was hard to work with because it “didn’t do its job right”. To an insult to injury, in between takes the trainer would feed the monkey, who was sitting on Schwimmer’s shoulder live grubs. His final words for Marcel were to “F—k off”.

“Smelly Cat” became an instant hit once Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay sang it and over the years, the actress has been joined by some amazing duet partners like Taylor Swift and Chris Issak. The latest was Lady Gaga who sang alongside Kudrow on Central Perk’s couch and they were backed by a full choir. The performance was epic up through the final seconds when Kudrow says, “I still think it’s better when it’s just me.”
