The White Lotus is one of the most popular series to premiere on HBO in recent years, and there’s a lot of anticipation surrounding its next chapter. Its creator Mike White shared some exciting news about the show’s future in recent weeks, and here’s everything we know about Season 3 so far.
New Location
The first season of this anthology series took us to Hawaii, while the second shifted the setting to Sicily. Honshu, Japan was initially scouted as a potential location for Season 3, but HBO decided to film it in Thailand after receiving a $4.4 million tax incentive.
Cast & Characters
According to Deadline’s recent report, Season 3 of The White Lotus will include nine regular characters, ranging in age between 18 and 80. They’ve been described as a patriarch, a corporate executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, a misfit, and a yogi.
Casting is currently underway, and Natasha Rothwell is the only cast member confirmed so far, reprising her role as kind-hearted spa manager Belinda from Season 1.
Release Date
The third season of The White Lotus will kick off in Thailand this February, and it’s expected to premiere on HBO in 2025. Mike White described the upcoming season as “supersized” and said it will be “longer, bigger, crazier” than the previous ones, but we still don’t know what this means in terms of the episode count.
