Apple’s refreshed Siri is no longer limited to the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. According to the report, the AI-powered assistant is also available on compatible Apple Watch models through the watchOS 27 beta, giving users a chance to test it from their wrist before the full release arrives later this fall.
With a supported Apple Watch running watchOS 27 and an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone, Siri can handle the kinds of requests people usually make to chatbots. That includes answering questions, carrying out tasks inside apps, and pulling up details stored across Apple devices. The report says you can ask it to send information like a flight number, play a song shared by someone else, or surface specifics such as recent trip photos or an Airbnb door code. There is also a new Siri app that lets users view conversations started on other Apple devices and jump back into them.
Early reactions to Siri AI on Apple Watch appear to be positive, and Apple may have turned the watch into a more useful on-the-go assistant for quick tasks. Still, the catch is that this is beta software, so users should expect the usual tradeoff: early access in exchange for possible bugs or glitches. Unlike betas on the iPhone or Mac, the watchOS beta cannot be removed or downgraded once installed. If you put watchOS 27 on your Apple Watch, it stays there until Apple finishes the beta cycle.
For those willing to take that risk, installing the public beta is relatively straightforward. The report says users need to enroll in Apple’s Beta Program, install the public beta of iOS 27 on the iPhone first, and then select watchOS 27 Public Beta in the Watch app under Settings, General, Software Update, and Beta Updates. The final version of watchOS 27 is still expected sometime in the fall, but the beta gives curious users an early look now.
