If you still haven’t learned Jessie Buckley’s name, now’s the time because her Hollywood reign is just beginning. The British actress is one of the biggest rising stars of the year, and her 2020 filmography is filled with several high-profile projects.

Buckley is finally rising through the Hollywood ranks this year, but it would be wrong to call her a newcomer. She got her break in the British indie Beast, scored a BAFTA nomination for Wild Rose, and starred in hit series Chernobyl, War & Peace, and Taboo.

It was just a matter of time before she became a household name, and her moment to shine is finally here. Buckley kicked 2020 off by playing Queen Victoria in Dolittle, and went on to receive some of the best reviews of her career for the lead role in I’m Thinking of Ending Things—and that’s just the beginning.

She’s currently playing Oraetta Mayflower on Fargo, and critics her calling her a scene-stealer of the otherwise mediocre new season. Buckley’s tour de force will continue with the roles in Misbehaviour, Ironbark, and The Lost Daughter, and we can’t wait to see everything she’s bringing to the table.
