Jodie Sweetin Says Daughter Zoie Is Heading to Community College on a Soccer Scholarship

Jodie Sweetin is watching her oldest child take a big step into adulthood. The Full House and Fuller House alum said her 18-year-old daughter Zoie, whom she shares with ex Cody Herpin, has decided to attend community college after receiving a scholarship tied to soccer.

Speaking on The Dory Jackson Interview on July 15, Sweetin explained that Zoie was still figuring out her long-term plans, and the community college route gave her room to do that while also continuing the sport she loves. Sweetin said Zoie liked the idea of saving on student debt while she worked out what comes next.

The actress, who is also mom to 15-year-old Beatrix with ex Morty Coyle, said she is proud of the way her daughters are growing up and learning to handle life. She joked that Zoie still has some everyday skills to master, but said she is more focused on the bigger picture of her daughter putting the pieces of her future together.

Sweetin added that she never wanted to push Zoie into a path that felt expected or imposed from the outside. Instead, she wanted her daughter to feel in control of her own choices. Even with one child moving into college life, Sweetin said she does not expect her home to become empty anytime soon, and she noted that she and husband Mescal Wasilewski may eventually want to leave Los Angeles once their children are finished with school. For now, though, she said she enjoys seeing who her kids are becoming.
