JoJo Siwa is about to make Dancing With the Stars history! The Dance Moms alum will be competing in Season 30 of the show and not only will she be in the running for the coveted Mirrorball trophy, but she’ll be partnered with a female partner, which will be the first same-sex pairing in the show’s history.

“I am so excited to be part of this year’s Dancing With the Stars,” said Siwa on Thursday in an Instagram video. “And to be dancing with a girl, I think it’s so cool, I think it breaks a wall that’s never been done before.”

“I think it’s really special that not only now do I get to share with the world you get to love who you want to love, but also you get to dance with who you want to dance with,” Siwa said when speaking about the move with Dancing With the Stars on Good Morning America.

In addition to Siwa, Team USA gymnast Sunisa (Suni) Lee, who made her Olympic debut this summer, will also be competing in the show.

The other celebrity contestants haven’t been announced yet and Tyra Banks will be returning as host with judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Derek Hough. Dancing With the Stars premiers on September 20.
