We can always count on Hollywood studios to turn back to the past once they run out of new ideas. If you don’t mind getting nostalgia overload every once in a while, you’ll be happy to hear that live-action versions of your favorite childhood cartoons are on the way.

Netflix – “Fate: The Winx Saga”

The live-action version of the Nickelodeon animated series Winx Club premiered on Netflix back in January, and it was polarizing from the get-go. The tone differed too much from the original cartoon, but some viewers came to love it after looking at it as its own thing.

Paramount+: “Dora the Explorer” and “The Fairly OddParents”

Paramount is currently developing its own streaming service, and they’re expected to give us several live-action adaptations of our favorite cartoons. The new version of The Fairly OddParents will be part of their programming, but they’re also plotting another live-action take on Dora the Explorer.

The CW: “The Powerpuff Girls”

The live-action version of Cartoon Network’s beloved series The Powerpuff Girls is coming to The CW, and it already found its leads. Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Dove Cameron (Descendants), and Yana Perrault (Jagged Little Pill) have been cast as Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup.
