The next Marvel movies went through more release date changes than we can count, and Disney recently shifted its entire MCU theatrical schedule once again. Here are three projects that have been affected by the studio’s most recent change.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 6, 2022)
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will now kick-off Marvel’s 2022 slate, but it’s coming to theaters later than expected. It will premiere in May instead of March. Luckily, we won’t have to wait for that long to see Doctor Strange on the big screen since he’s set to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home this winter.
Thor: Love and Thunder (July 8, 2022)
The new Doctor Strange movie is taking Thor: Love and Thunder’s previous release date, forcing another major shift in the MCU. It’s always exciting to have a Marvel movie premiere in the middle of the summer, and Taika Waititi’s latest Thor movie is the best possible choice thanks to its humorous and offbeat energy.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (November 11, 2022)
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever went through several major shifts since its announcements, but its latest is the least significant. It’s been moved from October to November 2022, which makes total sense since the movie is still shooting in Atlanta and it won’t wrap up until next month.
