The BAFTA Awards are the latest award show to rock our world with some pretty surprising victories and an amazing virtual red carpet. If we had to single out a single fashion trend that ruled this ceremony, metallic dresses would make the cut—and here are some of the very best.

Vanessa Kirby

We’re used to seeing Kirby in classy black gowns, and that’s why her BAFTA look was true refreshment. She turned heads in a metal mash column gown by Versace and finished the look with her signature sleek bun.

Cynthia Erivo

Erivo’s look was also quite a departure from her signature style. She took a break from long, over-the-top gowns and opted for a silver and gold Louis Vuitton mini dress with cinched waist instead.

Renée Zellweger

Unlike Erivo and Kirby, Zellweger stuck to her signature style but still managed to deliver an amazing look at the BAFTAs. She hit the red carpet in a shimmering Armani cocktail dress with a crystal-embroidered v-neckline.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw

The Black Mirror actress was also amongst the stars who fully embraced the metallic trend at the BAFTAs—and she did it in a silver Louis Vuitton gown with intricate, beaded embellishments.
