Despite many events being canceled this year and Italy being one of the countries hit hard during the pandemic, Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021 went on from September 22 through September 28. During the start of fashion month we saw more subtler, pared-back collections, but Milan Fashion Week brought us back to the bold, bright styles and textures that make a statement. It seems like the laid-back WFH looks are taking a backseat and we couldn’t be more excited! These were the top trends seen across Milan’s runways.
Bold Prints
Vacations may be a thing of the future, but it’s clear that island getaways influenced the designers collections which featured tropical flowers, nautical themes, and summery prints.
Color Block
Neutrals have always been a staple at fashion week, but Milan was all about bright, bold color combinations.
Sheer
Sheer dresses were layered with slips and relaxed trousers, which is the perfect way to wear something light and breezy for the warmer months.
High Volume
Oversized dresses and coats were shown by many designers and they’ll help you stay warm while looking chic.
Crochet
Both heavy knits and more delicate doily styles were all over the runway and they are ideal for movement and lightness once we hit the warmer months.
