First Single
Normani created a lot of buzz for her debut album with the recently released lead single “Wild Side”. This song features the chart-topping rapper Cardi B and pays homage to 90s R&B by using a sample of Aaliyah’s hit single “One in a Million”.
Possible Tracklist
Normani is yet to unveil the tracklist of her debut album, so we still don’t know if it’s going to feature any of her previous releases, including “Motivation”. One thing we expect is a long list of A-list collaborators as Normani worked with Sam Smith, Megan Thee Stallion, and Ariana Grande in the past.
High Expectations
It may seem like we’ve spent forever waiting for Normani’s debut album, but she doesn’t want to rush it. The singer told Teen Vogue she’ll share the album with the world when she feels it’s ready because the expectations are really high.
“There’s so much expectation that I have for myself, so adding [fans’ expectations] onto that can be a lot, but it really does motivate me. I really want to create a body of work that’s going to count, you know? I’m never going to get my first album back,” explained Normani.
