Winter is usually the busiest red carpet season, but we always get a bunch of amazing looks in the months leading to it. Fall is the best time to test what will work with fashion critics once Oscars roll around, and this season gave us a few amazing trends we wouldn’t mind seeing again.
Feather Weather
Whether you like it or not, feathers are officially back in style. Ever since Lady Gaga and Cate Blanchett rocked extravagant feathered gown at the Venice Film Festival, we’ve seen at least one similar design at every red carpet event in the months to come.

Silver Lining
When you go through dozens of red carpet photos, there’s usually a lot of black and white, but not this fall. Silver was dominating all the major events and wearing this color proved to be the winning formula to making it to “best dressed” list.
Suit Up
Our favorite stars have been killing it in awesome suits this season, and we honestly never want them to stop. Blake Lively is the unofficial president of the “suit up” club and made this fashion piece a staple of her A Simple Favor press tour – but other famous ladies were right behind you.
