This week Samsung revealed some of its latest inventions in their all-virtual, online-only Consumer Electronics Show with the products focusing on providing “a better normal for all”. While they revealed even smarter smart-fridges and a 110-inch television, it’s their trio of “intelligent, human-centered robots” that use artificial intelligence (AI), that we’re most excited about. Specifically Bot Handy has caught our attention.

Bot Handy looks like stacked air purifiers on a Roomba and it’s AI allows it to “see” things around the house, identifies the object, and how to handle them. It pretty much does all of the chores around the house, so you don’t have to. How cool is that?

The possibilites with Bot Handy are endless and it could assist the elderly, vision-impaired, and those with mobility limiations.

In the demo video showing what it can do, Bot Handy loaded a dishwasher, dropped dirty laundry into a hamper, placed a fruit basket on the kitchen table, slid a flower into a vase, and poured two cups of wine.

Samsung hasn’t released a date when Bot Handy will be available to the general public, it just says that it’s “not currently available for sale”, but that it showed off its stuff in “test settings”.
