If there’s one thing we’ve been seeing everywhere this year it has to be tie-dye. 2020 is the year of tie-dye and the nostalgic trend can be seen everywhere from activewear sets to slip dresses and home decor items. Whether you want a bright bold print or a more subtle pastel, there are so many combinations to choose between. But, if you’re getting tired of the print, there’s a new print that’s pretty much a more sophisticated take on tie-dye—marble print.
The psychedelic swirl or marble print often has an oil-spill look with bold, contrasting colors and defined lines instead of a blend of color that looks like it threw up in your face which is seen in tie-dye prints.
One designer whose collection features a lot of the print and happens to be a favorite of the Kardashians and Jenners is Maise Wilen. For a softer take on the trend, check out Lafayette 148’s hand-painted pieces.
Be sure to also take a look at Paloma Wool’s collection with Irene Royo which features scarves, asymmetrical tops, and pants with Royo’s swirled paintings or try Orange Culture’s gender-neutral “Rume” pants which use fall’s primary color trend and come with a matching top for a head-to-toe marble look.
