Talk show hosts are one of the staples of broadcast TV, but it seems they’re slowly moving to stream services—just like everything else. Many of our favorite talk show hosts decided to give up their successful TV shows for Netflix and HBO and the list is getting longer as we speak.

Conan O’Brien

After a three-decade-long career as a late-night talk show host, Conan O’Brien announced his departure from The Tonight Show earlier this week. That doesn’t mean he’ll no longer be around—he’s already developing a new weekly variety series on HBO Max.

Jon Stewart

It’s been years since Jon Stewart left The Daily Show, passing the mantel to Trevor Noah, and he’s finally ready to get back in the game. After a failed deal with HBO, Stewart will get back in the anchor’s chair in the current affairs Apple series, expected to feature single-subject episodes.

David Letterman

One of the biggest talk show legends of all time ended his The Late Show run with over 6,000 hosted episodes under his belt. We didn’t expect to see him in the hosting chair again, so it was quite a surprise to see him strike a deal with Netflix and make a comeback with a new talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.
