Bold, out there hair colors are nothing new for summer. We’re used to seeing shades of blues, pinks, and greens, but the latest hair color trend is inspired by a Disney villain and it’s called “Cruella” hair. It’s here just in time for the live-action film starring Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil, the villain from 101 Dalmations, which comes out May 28. While it’s a statement, it’s super wearable and it’s perfect for your post-lockdown debut!

The hair trend has a few versions with the most popular one being having the bottom half of your head platinum blonde and the top half of it black. Even Selena Gomez has been spotted in Cruella hair, with her dark hair color peeking through underneath her new blonde look while she sported a low ponytail. Chic—right?

The hairstyle looks fabulous in a ponytail or bun, which highlights the contrast of the two hair colors. It’s as edgy as it is high-fashion and you’re going to want to give it a try. Keep in mind that if you dye your hair blonde, you’ll need to use purple shampoo to keep the color looking fresh.

Are you ready to match the best Disney villain?
