The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” Has Become 2021’s Song of Summer

Year after year there’s a song of summer and this year it happens to be The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber’s “Stay”. Laroi’s “Stay” which features Bieber, has led songs this summer and the 18-year-old Australian rapper seems to have come out of nowhere. On YouTube alone, the song has over 160 million views.

From the week of June 25 to Labor Day weekend, the collaboration between The Kid/Bieber has pulled 1.5 million song-projects units according to Variety. Coming in at a close second is Oliva Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” with 1.3 million, followed by Ed Sheeran’s “Bad Habits” with 1.04 million.

Doja Cat is also doing really well this summer—”Kiss Me More” is at No. 4, “Need To Know” is at No. 8, “Ain’t Shit” is at No. 11, and The Weeknd’s “You Right”, which she is featured in is at No. 16.

Lil Nas X has two of the top 10 spots with Jack Harlow collaboration “Industry Baby” at No. 7 and “Montero (Call Me By My Name)” at No. 10.

Rodrigo has three on the top 20 with “Traitor at No. 13 and “Déjà Vu” at No. 15, joining “Good 4 U”.

Rounding out the top 10 are Dua Lipa’s ”Levitating” at No. 5, Walker Hayes’ “Fancy Like” at No. 6, and Polo G’s “Rapstar” at No. 10.
