With so many fashion trends from the 1990s and early 2000s making a comeback, it was only a matter of time before we would start seeing patchwork denim again. What’s surprising is that it now found a way into luxury designer collections, so it was actually brought back by brands like Celine and Gucci.

When we made our own patchwork denim clothes back in the ‘90s, we were actually recreating a famous trend from the 1970s. That was the decade when this trend was first popular and it looked great on flared jeans and jumpsuits with wide legs.

Today, this trend comes in many colors and forms. You can go full-retro with wide-leg jeans and long denim skirts or you can choose an updated version and wear patchwork denim blazers and jumpsuits.

Patchwork denim bags were also big once, and it was all about making them on your own using scraps from various jeans and other denim garments. If you decide to recreate this trend today, you’ll be left with a unique bag that’s perfect for wearing with casual outfits, and you can make it in any shape and size you want.

What do you think about the patchwork denim trend? Would you wear something like this?
