This year has been full of amazing music and picking the top ones is challenging. But some artists have really brought their A-game in 2021 and these are the top five albums of the year. Did your favorites make the list?

Olivia Rodrigo – Sour

Olivia Rodrigo is definitely the biggest rising star of 2021, and she knocked it out of the park with her debut album Sour, which produced No. 1 hits “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U”.

Adele – 30

It’s been over five years since Adele released a new album, but 30 was worth the wait. It became the highest-selling album of 2021 only a few weeks after its release and its lead single “Easy on Me” is still leading the charts around the world.

Drake – Certified Lover Boy

Drake never struggled to top the charts with his new album, and he exceeded our wildest expectations with Certified Lover Boy. In addition to spending five weeks at No. 1, this LP set the all-time record for the most top-ten singles from one album.

Lil Nas X – Montero

Lil Nas X’s debut album Montero never even hit No. 1, but that didn’t stop it from being one of the most talked-about LPs of 2021 and producing two No. 1 hits—”Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” and “Industry Baby” ft. Jack Harlow.

Doja Cat – Planet Her

Speaking of albums that never hit No. 1, but still managed to become one of the biggest cultural milestones of 2021, Doja Cat’s Planet Her also falls under that category.
