Just when we thought the award season is behind us, the BAFTA TV Awards gave us another night to remember. The red carpet at this ceremony was truly over the top, and it delivered some pretty epic fashion moments. And as always, some looks seemed to repeat themselves. These were the biggest trends of the night.
Statement Mini Dresses
Many of the stars attending this year’s BAFTA TV Awards ditched long gowns for eye-catching mini dresses. Stacey Dooley, Jessica Plummer, and Letitia Wright embraced this trend, but Billie Piper ended up stealing the show with her black and pink mini dress with a long oversized bow.
Extravagant Sleeves
Piper’s dress also featured extravagant puffy sleeves, but she wasn’t the only celebrity to give this trend her seal of approval. Nicola Coughlan, Zawe Ashton, and Aimee Lou Wood did the same, and their dresses offered many different, but equally stylish take on this trend.
Stylish Prints
Stylish prints were all the rage at this year’s BAFTA TV Awards. Helena Bonham Carter and Siena Kelly rocked our world in black and white dresses with polka dots, Aimee Lou Wood and Gbemisola Ikumelo couldn’t resist floral print, while Zawe Ashton’s Zimmermann gown featured a little bit of everything.
