Venice Film Festival: Face Masks Make Their Big Red Carpet Debut

If you think it’s impossible to look fashionable with a face mask on, the ladies at this year’s Venice Film Festival are here to prove you wrong. Before posing for photos at a safe distance, many of our favorite stars made sure to stay safe by hitting the red carpet with face masks.

Cate Blanchett

Blanchett is the jury president at this year’s Venice Film Festival, and she was spotted with a face mask during several outings, red carpet events, and press conferences, while still managing to look as classy as ever.

Vanessa Kirby

The Crown star promoted her new movie Pieces of a Woman in several classy Valentino outfits, and a face mask just happened to be an essential part of her looks.

Maya Hawke

The Stranger Things star delivered one of her best looks to date with a dazzling Versace dress with Swarovski crystals, but we liked her matching mask even more.

Tilda Swinton

In addition to wearing regular face coverings during her outings, Swinton stole the show in Venice with her custom-made James Merry mask, inspired by stingray skeletons, seaweed, and orchids.
