Seeing a Disney movie in a theater for the first time is always an amazing experience, but it’s been a while since we’ve done it. As theaters around the world reopen, Disney’s projects are finally hitting the big screen, and here are a few you should check out this summer.

Cruella (May 28)

After several major delays, the origin story of the iconic Disney villain Cruella de Vil is set to make us fall in love with theaters again before summer even arrives.

Luca (June 18)

Pixar’s next animated film is a coming-of-age tale set in the Italian Riviera, which follows two boys who are secretly sea monsters disguised as humans. In addition to being released theatrically around the world, Luca will stream worldwide on Disney+.

Black Widow (July 9)

Marvel’s first movie to hit the theaters since the pandemic hit, the stand-alone Black Widow is one of the most anticipated superhero movies in years and you shouldn’t miss it for the world.

Jungle Cruise (July 30)

Starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, this film is based on the popular Disneyland ride of the same name. It focuses on a skilled riverboat captain and an adventurous scientist venturing into the jungle to find the Tree of Life.
