After a decade of going on one amazing adventure after another with the Avengers, Marvel introduced us to a brand-new superhero team. The official trailer for Eternals is here, but who exactly are they and what can we expect from their first movie together?

Official Synopsis

The official synopsis for Marvel’s latest superhero epic describes Eternals as “a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows who reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants.” In the comics, both Eternals and Deviants have been created by the alien race Celestials when they visited Earth, and they can live for thousands of years despite looking human.

Members of Eternals

The cast of Eternals is packed with A-list stars, including Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena, and Salma Hayek as the wise leader Ajak.

Brian Tyree Henry is set to play the intelligent inventor Phastos, Marvel’s first openly gay superhero. The rest of the cast includes Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Lia McHugh as the eternally young Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig. Kit Harington will join them as a human warrior Dane Whitman.
