Taylor Swift released “All Too Well” back in 2012 and it was never even a single, but that’s not stopping people from obsessing about it almost a decade later. This touching power ballad has been making headlines in the past few days, but what is the fuss all about?

Extended Version

The extended version of “All Too Well” has been included on Swift’s re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version). It’s 10 minutes long and fans have been waiting to hear it for years. The original version was gut-wrenching on its own, but the new one is even more explosive and it allegedly chronicles the fallout of Swift’s relationship with her ex Jake Gyllenhaal.

Short Film

The extended version of “All Too Well” was accompanied by a short film starring Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien. They play a young couple whose relationship and eventual breakup mirror the song’s lyrics. The short was directed by Swift herself, and it features a bunch of Easter eggs, from the infamous scarf to the age difference between the leads.

“SNL” Performance

Swift delivered the first live performance of the extended version “All Too Well” on a recent episode of Saturday Night Live. Her performance defied the show’s convention and set the record as the longest in SNL’s history.
