The buzzy term “bookshelf wealth” started trending thanks to Kailee Blalock, the co-founder of the interior design studio House of Hive. Her TikTok video explaining this aesthetic racked up over a million views and gave a new name to a home décor trend that’s been around for decades.

“Bookshelf wealth” is all about pairing your carefully curated book collection with other home décor pieces that give your home an authentic vibe. It’s a rejection of the perfectly manicured bookshelves arranged by color or genre that we often see on Instagram and TikTok feeds of book influencers, in favor of a more genuine look.
This look is cluttered, without looking too messy, and it puts an emphasis on authenticity. According to Blalock, “books that have actually been curated and read” are an essential part of this aesthetic, along with cozy seating areas, mixed patterns and colors, task lighting, and collectors’ items put on a full display.

R.E.M. Beauty’s lip collection is just as impressive, despite the fact it only features four products. Transparent plumping lip gloss is already out of stock, but you can still shop for a regular lip gloss, lip stain marker, and matte lipstick, which comes in futuristic packaging.

]]>Netflix has been planning to enter the gaming scene for quite some time, and their plan is finally coming to fruition. The streaming giant recently launched its gaming platform, currently available on Android devices, but what is this project all about?
Netflix’s first drop includes a total of five games—Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops, Card Blast, and Teeter Up. In an official statement announcing their launch, the streaming giant acknowledged they’re still in the early days of this business endeavor, but they’re trying to create a great gaming experience.
“Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone,” reads Netflix’s statement.
At this point in time, Netflix games are only available on Android devices to users who already have a Netflix account. You can access them by opening the Netflix app on your phone or tablet and going to the Games tab.
At this point in time, games are still not available via Apple’s app store. There’s chatter about their possible launch, but Apple currently bars third-party apps from functioning as a hub for games and giving Netflix an exemption may not be in their best interest due to their budding rivalry.

Cast and Crew
Denis Villeneuve is coming back to direct the second Dune movie, and he’s bringing most of the cast with him—including Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, who’ll take on a bigger role in the second film.
Plot Points
Dune: Part Two will pick up where the first movie left off. It will cover the second part of Frank Herbert’s iconic novel, and it may even feature a major time jump if the movie closely follows the book.
Release Date
Dune: Part Two is set to hit the theaters on October 20th, 2023. Unlike the first movie, it won’t get a day-and-date streaming release on HBO Max because Villeneuve insisted on an exclusive theatrical release.

Dune: Part Two may not be the last we see of this franchise. Villeneuve said he can imagine himself directing a third movie, based on Herbert’s second book in the series. HBO Max is also developing a spin-off series Dune: The Sisterhood.

Margot Robbie has been cast as Barbie in 2019, and she described this role as “a great opportunity to put some positivity out in the world and a chance to be aspirational for younger kids.” It’s recently been announced she’ll be joined by Ryan Gosling in the role of Ken, who’s been Warner Bros’ one and only choice for the role.
Creative Team
Some people have been skeptical about the prospect of a live-action Barbie movie, but they’ve changed their tune after learning who’ll be in charge of it. Greta Gerwig, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind Lady Bird and Little Women, will be the one directing it and co-writing the script with Noah Baumbach.
Release Date
After several revamps and re-castings, the current version of the live-action Barbie has been in development since 2018, but it still doesn’t have a release date. The production is expected to begin in early 2022 and the studio is aiming for a theatrical release in 2023.
