Eight-time NBA All-Star Vince Carter retired in March 2020 after playing with the league for 22 years. The basketball star didn’t have to wait long before landing his next job at ESPN as a basketball analyst.

Carter signed a multi-year contract to cover NBA and men’s college basketball. This contract includes him filling in as a game analyst and appearing in in-studio on ESPN’s shows like NBA Countdown, The Jump, Get Up, and First Take.

While still playing in the NBA, Carter served a guest analysis on many ESPN shows.

During his 22-year-long career, Carter played with the Toronto Raptors, New Jersey Nets, and Atlanta Hawks among other teams. He also represented USA Basketball in several tournaments with the most memorable being the 2002 Olympic Games in Sydney where the team won gold.

Carter’s last season was with the Hawks, but due to COVID-19, he didn’t get a farewell game. His career average is 6.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
