Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes added another NFL record to his impressive list of achievements. In a 33-31 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Mahomes became the faster QB to reach the 100 career TD passes, surpassing the Hall of Famer Dan Marino.

Marino needed 44 games to reach 100, while Mahomes did the same in only 40 games.

Mahomes finished the game against the Panthers by completing 30 out of 45 pass attempts for 372 yards and four touchdowns. He is now already up to 2,687 yards and 25 touchdowns for the season while throwing only one interception.

“I think you’re seeing the best of him right now,” said Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid after the game.

Unfortunately for Dan Marino, Mahomes wasn’t the only one to mess with his records on Sunday. With a win over Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens’ signal-caller Lamar Jackson improved to a 25-5 record as a starter, tying Marino’s start with Miami Dolphins in his first 30 games.

Marino still has several records alive, including the 200 touchdown passes in the fewest games to start a career, but with the way Jackson and Mahomes are playing, it is only a matter of time before they get broken as well.
