Photo dumps put Instagram’s slideshow feature to some good use, and they consist of several random photos followed by a casual caption. There’s usually no obvious connection between the photos in the slideshow, and the best one rarely takes the first spot.
Photo dumps can be themed, such as Ariana Grande’s recent announcement of her engagement with Dalton Gomez. Most people use the first slide to showcase their engagement ring, but the Grammy-winning singer waited until the fourth to give us the full view of the adorable diamond and pearl jewel.

]]>There are some big changes going on on Instagram and if you don’t already have the new features in your app you’re about to get them soon. Not all users agree that these changes are in the right direction, but we’ll have to get used to them if we want to continue using the most popular social media platform. Here are three changes you can expect.
New Post Button
The “new post” button is no longer in the middle of the bottom row when you’re in the app. It was moved and replaced with TikTok clone Reels. It will lead you to a page where you can infinitely explore new content.
Notifications Tab
Right next to the “new post” button was the notifications tab, but it’s also not there anymore. The same button now leads to a“shopping” section of the app where you can see the best deals from accounts you like.
Messenger
Another big change is that you can no longer use Instagram’s DMs for messaging. Instead, the same button now features the Facebook Messenger logo and leads you to the Messenger app because Instagram’s chats are now integrated in it.

]]>We’ve all been through it in 2020, and to say 2020 isn’t our year, is a huge understatement. The latest Instagram trend brings some lighthearted humor to this—it’s a calendar of collages of moods throughout 2020.
Celebrities, like the rest of us, haven’t had great years, and Reese Witherspoon joined in on the trend. On her Instagram, she posted a photo caption, “Yup. #2020” with her Legally Blonde character Elle Woods, bright and overly optimistic in January, a concerned Elena Richardson from Little Fires Everywhere in February, in March things start to become less peppy, and by June she’s out in the wilderness as Cheryl Strayed from Wild.
Kaling was inspired by Witherspoon’s post so she shared her own version and captioned it “Pretty much. Inspired by @reesewitherspoon.”
Kerry Washington was the next actress to join in and she captioned her post, “@reesewitherspoon @mindykaling…SAME.”
