It was just a matter of time before Netflix started looking for new sources of revenue, and they’re trying to expand by entering the theme park business. According to Bloomberg’s recent report, the streaming giant is planning to open an immersive fan experience under the moniker Netflix House.

Netflix House will offer retail, dining, and live entertainment inspired by Netflix’s hit TV shows and movies, such as Squid Game, Stranger Things, Bridgerton, and Wednesday. They’re planning to kick things off with two locations in the United States in 2025 before expanding to the rest of the world.

Josh Simon, Netflix’s vice president of consumer products discussed Netflix House with Bloomberg and explained why they decided to explore this concept.

“We’ve seen how much fans love to immerse themselves in the world of our movies and TV shows. And we’ve been thinking a lot about how we take that to the next level,” said Simon.

This concept sounds like Netflix’s most recent attempt to rival Disney, but the company’s CEO Ted Sarandos claims Netflix House and Disneyland are nothing alike. He told Bloomberg that we should think of “Netflix House as “something you might go to a couple times a month, not just once every couple years.”

Fantasy shows are always a great fit for games, and Netflix couldn’t have made a better choice than giving Shadow and Bone a game treatment. Shadow And Bone: Destinies allows players to journey across the Grishaverse and have an adventure of a lifetime.

The Queen’s Gambit

The Queen’s Gambit is the most obvious choice for one of Netflix’s signature games because it centers on an orphan girl who rises through the rank of the world of chess while struggling with addiction.

Too Hot To Handle

Netflix never developed a game based on one of their reality shows, but that’s about to change. Too Hot To Handle will be the streaming giant’s very first game based on a reality franchise.

La Casa De Papel

In this game based on a popular Spanish heist drama, the Professor is putting the gang together again for another epic mission – robbing a shady billionaire’s casino in Monaco.

We can always count on Netflix to release some new festive movies just in time for the holiday season, and they definitely didn’t disappoint this year. Christmas-themed rom-coms are all the rage on this streaming platform right now, and here are three that got everyone talking.

The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star

Netflix viewers already spent two Christmases watching The Princess Switch movies, and this one will be no different. The third installment in this franchise sees Vanessa Hudgens play Princess Stacy, Queen Margaret, and her cousin Fiona as they try to track down a stolen Christmas relic.

Love Hard

In Love Hard, Nina Dobrev plays a young woman who decided to surprise her online crush by visiting his hometown for Christmas. She regrets her decision after discovering she’s actually been catfished, but her trip to the East Coast leads to a romantic twist of faith.

Single All the Way

A lighthearted Christmas rom-com, Single All the Way features an ensemble cast that includes the likes of Michael Urie, Jennifer Robertson, and Jennifer Coolidge. It centers on a young man who convinces his best friend to pretend to be his boyfriend when he goes home for Christmas to avoid his family’s judgment about being single.

Netflix has been planning to enter the gaming scene for quite some time, and their plan is finally coming to fruition. The streaming giant recently launched its gaming platform, currently available on Android devices, but what is this project all about?

Netflix’s first drop includes a total of five games—Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops, Card Blast, and Teeter Up. In an official statement announcing their launch, the streaming giant acknowledged they’re still in the early days of this business endeavor, but they’re trying to create a great gaming experience.

“Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone,” reads Netflix’s statement.

At this point in time, Netflix games are only available on Android devices to users who already have a Netflix account. You can access them by opening the Netflix app on your phone or tablet and going to the Games tab.

At this point in time, games are still not available via Apple’s app store. There’s chatter about their possible launch, but Apple currently bars third-party apps from functioning as a hub for games and giving Netflix an exemption may not be in their best interest due to their budding rivalry.

Lucifer was one of those shows fans really wished would never end. And for a minute there, it really did seem to go on forever: season 4 was meant to be the last one, then season 5 was announced; and just when we were preparing ourselves to start grieving, came season 6. Not that anyone’s complaining, obviously.

But season 6 of Lucifer being a huge deal is not just about it being the very positively undoubtedly last hurrah of this handsome devil and his charming entourage of celestials and humans. It’s also about the show’s plotline, well, coming back from the dead. So, there’s really no wonder why viewers still can’t get over it: even though the final season was released over a month ago, Lucifer is still the most viewed streaming show according to a recent report.

Let’s face it: we loved season 5 because we love Lucifer. But something about that season didn’t work quite as well as previous seasons, with some strange plot decisions that seemed to come out of nowhere and not really drive the story into interesting places. Plus, what were those musical episodes all about? But season 6 made us forgive the producers for all of that. From the very first episode, it was clear to see that Lucifer was back on track, with Lucifer and Chloe’s mutual daughter from the future (!), Daniel’s return as a ghost-in-limbo, and the mystery of Lucifer’s looming disappearance hovering over us until the very last moments. Plus, a happy ending that was still far from being the obvious choice.

All things considered, we probably won’t stop hearing about this show anytime soon.

Well, we’ve all watched Squid Game at least three times from beginning to end by now—so there’s really nothing new to say on that front. But you know, there’s more to life than a Korean take on Hunger Games, amazing as it may be. So here are a few other cool shows coming to Netflix this October that are totally worth watching (preferably binge, preferably with snacks).

Seinfeld (October 1)

In case you’ve never watched every single episode of the iconic American sitcom, there’s literally no time like the present! Seinfeld is finally coming to Netflix, so you can forget about all the other stuff you have to do and just dedicate yourselves to it fully.

Maid (October 1)

Maid was made (pun alert) to be a Netflix hit. With an impressive 8/10 rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the moving miniseries based on Stephanie Land’s memoir is the perfect short-term binge for this fall. Watching single-mom Alex trying to provide for her kid after escaping an abusive relationship is far from easy, but it’s totally worth it.

Shameless Season 11 (October 11)

After 10 amazing seasons full of angst, hormones, illicit drugs, and dysfunctional relationships, the best family you’d never want to be a part of is saying goodbye. The 11th and final season of the beloved Showtime series promises all the drama from previous seasons and more—so don’t miss out.

As the world is anxiously awaiting the final hearing of Britney Spears’s conservatorship case, Netflix announces a new documentary exploring the pop star’s battle to end her conservatorship.

On Tuesday, the streaming giant dropped the teaser trailer for the film, which will be titled Brtiney vs Spears, features a recording of Spears leaving a message for her attorney in a clip from 2009. The 18-second clip begins with text stating, “The following audio is a voicemail from Britney Spears to a lawyer on January 21st, 2009 at 12:29 a.m.”

The documentary is directed by Erin Lee Carr and has been in the works for over a year according to Variety. It’s unlikely that Spears herself will be involved in the project, but it will include some key figures in her life.

This doc follows in the footsteps of Hulu and the New York TimesFraming Britney Spears, which was released earlier this year and significantly increased public interest in Spears’ unusual 13-year long conservatorship. In the aftermath of Framing Britney Spears, the singer received a wave of support on social media from fans who have been campaigning for her freedom. Earlier this month, Spears’ father Jamie, asked a judge to end the conservatorship.
