Vampire
Rodrigo kicked off her time on SNL with an emotional rendition of her power ballad “Vampire”, which did a great job setting the stage for her sophomore album Guts. This stripped-down piano performance put her vocals on full display since she did it all on her own, without backing vocals or other instruments in the background.
All American B—h
Rodrigo opted for a completely different approach with the pop-punk-inspired song “All American B—h”. She channeled the song’s messy energy by smashing cakes and dancing on tables, delivering a true masterclass in female rage that defined many songs on Guts.
Tiny A— Bag
Rodrigo made such a huge impact as a musician that it’s easy to forget she actually got her big break as an actress. Lil Nas X brought some amazing choreography to the Grammys with his futuristic medley of the best songs from his album Montero, including “Dead Right Now,” “Montero” & “Industry Baby”.
BTS – “Butter”
We can count on BTS to go viral and give us an amazing dance performance every time they hit the stage, and they certainly didn’t disappoint when they performed their chart-topping hit “Butter” at the Grammys.
Billie Eilish – “Happier Than Ever”
Billie Eilish didn’t win any Grammys this time around, but her performance of “Happier Than Ever” was a consolation prize for her fans. She used it to pay tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

]]>Ever since making her debut with viral hit “Drivers License”, Olivia Rodrigo managed to create a lot of buzz with each new music video she shared with the world. That’s certainly the case with her grungy visual for “Brutal”, and the internet hasn’t stopped raving about it ever since its surprise release.
Directed by Petra Collins, who gave us the absolute gem that is “Good 4 U”, the music video for “Brutal” is basically the spiritual successor of Olivia’s previous collaboration with the Canadian filmmaker. It’s all about punk rock vibes, teenage angst, and Y2K fashion, and it’s as nostalgic as it gets.
From rocking the sparkling Roberto Cavalli dress once worn by Britney Spears to being surrounded by ballerinas dancing on top of cars, Rodrigo gave us countless memorable moments in this epic video that drew comparisons to Rina Sawayama’s “XS”.
“Brutal” was used as the opening track on Rodrigo’s debut album Sour, and it became a viral sensation as soon as this record came out back in May. The new music video is simply here to remind us that “it’s brutal out here” and give the song a little push on the charts. It originally debuted at no. 12 but it’s safe to predict it will climb higher given the attention that the video managed to generate.

Eilish is no stranger to dominating the Billboard 200 chart, and she returned to the top of the chart with her sophomore album. Happier Than Ever didn’t find the same kind of success as her debut album, but it cemented Eilish’s status as one of the biggest Gen-Z stars on the pop scene.
The Kid Laroi – F*ck Love
The Kid Laroi’s debut mixtape came out about a year ago, but it reached no. 1 following the release of the deluxe edition F**k Love 3: Over You. In addition to topping the Billboard 200 chart, the Australian rapper also scored his first no. 1 Hot 100 hit with “Stay” featuring Justin Bieber.

Sour Prom
Shortly after Sour was dethroned, Rodrigo managed to bring it back to the spotlight with her concert film Sour Prom. It showed her performing songs from the album in a series of prom-themed settings and it offered the ultimate prom experience to Rodrigo’s fans and the singer herself.
Lack of Competition
The success of Sour on the charts isn’t entirely of Rodrigo’s making. It failed to score the no. 1 spot when it had tough competition in other hit albums, such as Polo G’s Hall of Fame and Tyler, the Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost, but easily returned to no. 1 during slower weeks with no major releases.
